Associate Appraisers of America: Using Technology to Improve Your Customer ExperienceAt Associate Appraisers of America, we have a confession to make: We thrive on the latest nerdy gadgets. From smart phones, to laptops, GPS, you name it. Call us geeks. Call us nerds. Call us what you will, but by all means, call us at (714) 897-3334 for appraisal orders in Southern California! Why? We're glad you asked.
In recent years, appraisals have become more scrutinized than they ever have been before. We offer the highest quality appraisals, and cutting corners goes against our core values. Therefore, we've simply optimized our routine processes to do more in less time. Our continuous efforts to be the best have convinced us that using the very latest in new technology allows us to bring you more accurate reports, quicker turnaround times and excellent customer service.
Ordering and TrackingYears ago, the majority of orders arrived via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we got back to the office. Often, in this scenario, it might of taken quite a while to hear back to see if the order could be taken. These days, when orders are entered on this website, we get a text message on our phones. We often log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.
At Associate Appraisers of America we understand it's all about "cycle time". We aim to reduce waiting between communications since the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. Through features on this website, we can actually speed up the entire appraisal process.
Associate Appraisers of America is a pioneer in efficient data gatheringGathering the data for an appraisal is an intensive process. We spend a great deal of time obtaining the facts on the subject property and the local market data and trends. Associate Appraisers of America takes advantage of technology to close the gap once again.
Instead of using paper forms and pencils and then re-keying all the information back at the office, don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using a program developed for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on the spot. Rather then using that clumsy outdated tape measure, a larger percentage appraisers are beginning to use accurate laser measuring devices that also help measure hard to access areas.
All of this technology ensures that the final report is as thorough and without error as possible. This benefits both you and us by necessitating less time for call-backs and revisions. Our goal is to save you time and money.
Here at Associate Appraisers of America we want you to know you have more ways to receive your report. The majority of our appraisals are delivered through e-mail as PDF documents. Generally our clients are most familiar with receiving PDFs attached to their e-mail. It's a lot faster than the old days before e-mail. But, we've even been able to innovate how you receive your report with this website.
Ever lost a file that was sent to you? Or have you ever had problems sending or receiving an e-mail because it was too big? We've come up with a solution for those problems, too. Whenever we send an appraisal, the client is e-mailed a download link to retrieve the PDF. So, at that point, it doesn't matter if all the extra photos and maps in the report result in a large file that would normally be blocked by e-mail. And the download link is good for 90 days. So if you lose the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again - saving you time, since we won't even need to run back to the computer.
Digital Workfile TechnologyIt would probably be easier if appraisers could complete a report, give it to the client and never worry about seeing that document again. However, appraisals are used to demonstrate the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers are required by law to keep their reports for 5 years in case any disputes or other matters arise regarding the property.
To sum it all up, Associate Appraisers of America leverages our embracing of technology to improve service. We store every part of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we're able to retrieve that report at any time and recall just what that job was about.
We just wanted to give you a little bit of insight into how we use our technology daily. Investing in the right software, services, gadgets and gizmos allows the appraiser to collect the appraisal data to finish the report faster and more accurately then previously possible.
